Meet Yagyaa

After a business management degree and over 7 years of working in the advertising and marketing business, I finally took the plunge to pursue dance full-time.

 

Although my professional training in dance was much later in life, I had started doing Bharatanatyam at the age of 4, thanks to my mother and her insistence on classical dance training.

 

With Kathak, I have been blessed to meet some outstanding teachers through my journey. Having started my training under danseuse Manjari Chaturvedi, I have been giving performances in India and abroad and am listed as a “Promising artiste" under the Government of India’s Festivals of India programme. I have also learned under the master of Lucknow Gharana, Pt. Jai Kishen Maharaj ji and his wife Smt Ruby Mishra ji.

​Much as I am passionate about performing, I also seek to continuously share my knowledge through various workshops and classes.
